Oh, it's a Tiara!!

My parents have always called me their little princess.  Even to this day they refer to me as "the princess".  


A friend of mine showed me this the other day and I literally could not stop laughing: 


The clip comes from The Big Bang Theory.  I have never seen the show but it looks like it is pretty funny.  Have you seen it? Thoughts? 

on another note: 

I have been eating really bad ever since Christmas. As a result I have gained some weight.

In an attempt to hold myself accountable, I am going to start showing what I eat on a daily basis. So this is what I had to eat yesterday:

Breakfast: Fiber One Bar and Skim Milk (not pictured)

Lunch: Lean Cuisine Flatbread, 1/2 a bag of Veggie Straws, Cherry Coke Zero and two Salt Water Taffies 

Dinner: Ginger Sesame Tuna Steak, Green Beans, Orange (from my wonderful Father in-law's orange tree in Florida), water

Dessert:  Two Frozens.  My Father in-law makes these every Christmas.  Not sure what they are made of but they are delish

BIG NEWS!!

if you follow me on twitter or facebook you probably already know my big news....

but for the rest of you...

I passed NCLEX!! I am now officially a RN!!

first I was a CNA(certified nursing assistant)

then I was a nursing student

then I graduated from nursing school

now I need to find somewhere to put all of these books

oh, and find a job!

YAY!!!

new iphone

Justin got a new iphone and so last night we decided to give the camera a quick try.  My friends have taken AWESOME pictures with their iphones so I was so excited!  But we had a problem..... We could not figure out why the pictures were coming out all weird looking

Me: why does it look like I am surrounded by smoke?? What the heck is wrong with the camera?

Me: let's try a self portrait... maybe that will be better

Me: maybe not... still grainy... this iphone sucks

Me: Now it looks like we are surrounded by smoke again.... what the heck?!

Justin: oh, duh... I forgot to take the plastic cover off!

Well folks... we finally figured it out... finally got a decent picture... and we had a great date night! 

NCLEX tomorrow!

So today I called my mom and here is a recap of the convo:

Me: Mom, I'm freaking out!!

Mom: You're what?

Me: I'm FREAKING OUT!

Mom: You're still doing that? You were doing that a few days ago... aren't you tired of that by now? That's old news... why don't you try something different.

Me: Hahaha... I'll get to work on that.


**if you think of it, please think of me around 3pm tomorrow.  I am hoping that I relax enough to take this test, pass it, and finally become a RN!

Because of school, I have not been able to read for FUN for awhile...

The first book I grab?

I literally could not put it down.  In fact, I became so obsessed that as soon as I finished the first book I knew I had to start the next book that night or I would just DIE.

So I went out to not 1, not 2, but 5 different book stores before I could find the other books.  Folks, these books are FLYING off of the shelves and you better jump on the bandwagon!

It took me 3 days to finish the 3 books.  I am a pretty fast reader but even that is a little crazy for me.  

I am also so excited about the movie coming out.  One of my nephews has a friend in it the movie (an extra).

WW - Nursing School Graduation

So folks.. its official! I graduated from nursing school (with honors thankyouverymuch)


Here are some pictures from capping ceremony and graduation 

The capping ceremony is a tradition dating back to the 19th century.  Originally used to keep a nurse's hair in place, it is now used as an initiation of sorts into the field of nursing.

I can't believe nursing school is over....

I officially sit for the NCLEX on 1/14/12 at 3pm.  So please please please say a little prayer for me that it turns out ok and I can officially become a RN!
