Back to Life, Back to Reality!

We are back in Charlotte, NC but had a great time in FL.

We found out some news while we were there..........

Turns out I AM GOING TO BE AN AUNT FOR 13th TIME!!!!!

On another note, I accidently deleted 31 comments... somehow I turned on comment moderation and then instead of publishing the comments I pressed reject and they all disappeared... sad!!!! I am completely bummed but have fixed the problem so that won't happen again!

Fun in the Sun

Our Florida vacation is almost over... but for now we are out enjoying the great weather by:

Taking a little drive around the neighborhood

Taking a walk on the beach

Grace says, "I see some birds Daddy... lets get 'em"

Last night we went out to celebrate Mr. and Mrs. Walter's 41st wedding anniversary.

First we ate dinner and then we saw this cute little "Christmas Town" -- and we just HAD to visit it!

Justin and I took a plunge down the "Ice Slide"

We took a family picture

Visited the Elves at Elf Village

Walked through Candy Cane Forest

Ate some yummy cotton candy

And then went home to have visions of sugar plums dance in our heads!

Thanksgiving 2009

We got up early to watch Macys Day Parade and take Gracie on a walk

Florida is gorgeous this time of year...

We had to check out the bumper crop of Oranges/Grapefruit that Mr. Walter grew

Then there was a lot of cooking

And Tasting...

A little bit of relaxing...

A lot of eating....

Even little Gracie got some Turkey and Mashed Potatoes.

Then we relaxed by the firepit

Before calling it a night

Justin and I are getting up at 3AM to go shopping for BLACK FRIDAY!!

I can't wait to be all surrounded by the hustle and bustle of Christmas shoppers!

Justin is not as excited as me... but he is being a good sport!

Turkey Day VLOG

Happy Thanksgiving!

We are in Jacksonville, FL visiting Justin's parents. Gracie and I decided to do our first VLOG to say Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!

**Note: When I say "all that other really bad food" -- I meant bad FOR you... clearly I don't think the food is bad... I LOVE FOOD!! And I don't care if it is bad for me... I am eating it ALL!!!

Seven Clown Circus, 5 minutes for mom

Spontaneous Getaway

I spent the better half of last week feeling REALLY sick.

I also had three HUGE tests.

And I left the house a WRECK.

So this weekend we decided to go on a spontaneous overnight trip to get away from it all

We packed our bag and headed out...

We found a hotel room

Got all dressed up for a night on the town

Ate a great dinner at Nobles

And then called it a night...

Sometimes it's nice to just pick up and get away from it all

It was the perfect ending to a crazy week!

Catty One

I never really noticed this before my husband pointed this out to me...

BUT

There are WAY TOO MANY people in NC that have "personalized license plates"

A few days ago I saw one that simply said, "ZERO".

Why would you have that on your license plate? Are you a zero? Do you like the number zero? What is the story?

Since then I have taken it upon myself to take pictures of these license plates to show you guys.

First one up:

What would possess this person (lady) to want this on her license plate? Last I checked it was not "cool" to be catty. Perhaps this is a daily reminder to her that she needs to change her catty ways... who knows?

Skipping Thanksgiving

My mom has decided to skip Thanksgiving decorating and go ahead and start on Christmas now

This is her 5th attempt at getting her mantle "just right"

I think she is on the right track!!

Seven Clown Circus, 5 minutes for mom

This is not the bathroom

This story actually took place over the summer but I somehow forgot to tell you guys about it.

Setting: At this very table:

Participants: my nephew Adam (above picture on the far right) and my hubby.

We were all sitting around the table eating some yummy food when all of the sudden this happened:

Justin: Where in the world is all that water coming from???

(we all look under the table to see)

Justin: OH MY GOSH ADAM!!!! YOU ARE PEEING ON ME!!! THIS ISN'T A BATHROOM!!!!!

Me, Carter, Mason (my other two nephews in the picture above): HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Apparently Adam had stood up at some point and started to pee underneath the table. While most of it actually dropped below the deck, it also splattered ALL OVER Justin's legs/feet. We are not sure exactly what he was thinking....

I tried my hardest to gain my composure so I could help the situation but it was just too funny.

Justin goes running down the deck stairs to wash off his legs with the water hose. Poor Adam just sits there with shock on his face.

Needless to say Justin will not sit across from Adam anymore at family events. And little Adam will have years of torment because of that day. He is never going to live this story down.

It's official...

Even with all the upcoming tests this week, I couldn't miss the LAST home game of the season...

The best part of the tailgate/game was getting to FINALLY meet Emily, a fellow blogger (Tales of the Beaver Family). You may remember this story about how we met at the last tailgate without really knowing we met... well we "officially" met at this tailgate. She is so sweet!! We not only live pretty close to one another but have couple of mutual friends so I am sure we are going to see a lot of each other!

We had way too much food left over after the tailgate...

I got to hang out with BFF Jeanne

(her birthday was yesterday -- HAPPY BDAY)

The tailgate was fun but the game was TERRIBLE... we lost.... BAD

But at least there was good weather!!

We have one more game (away) and then the season is over. Most likely we will not have a Bowl game... sad!

And I'm already thinking up fun things for next year's tailgates!!!
